“Cape buffalo (Syncerus caffer caffer) / Yellow-billed oxpecker (Buphagus africanus) - The Cape buffalo is the largest species of the African buffalo and can weigh up to 1,920 lbs (870 kg). It’s sometimes seen, as it is here, with the Yellow-billed oxpecker, which feeds on insects and ticks.
During all but the first day of my safari in Kenya, I had the vehicle to myself. This meant we could stick with a single subject longer and try to get the specific shots I was looking for. This one was on my list, and I was so pleased to capture it. ”
